Scotsdale Premier League:
A brief Info:
Founded by some of the fellow residents of Scotsdale apartments in summer of 2010, this is a cricket tournament that gets the most attention every year. The tournament started with approximate 35 players participating in the first year. With the word of mouth, the name SPL became famous and now the participants are close to the number 70. Earlier the participants were limited to scotsdale apartment residents but in the following years, top notch cricketers from professional leagues also started participating in the tournament adding more spice, competitiveness and enthusiasm to the game. 

Last but not the least, did I mention the auction process. The teams for the tournament are selected through an auction. Teams are first categorized based upon no.of available players and 2 selectors are identified for each team. 2 selectors from each team then bid for every other player. This is great fun-filled event that happens few weeks before the tournament starts.

The games are played on Johnson school ground (Joy & Hix Road intersection).
